Ballet
(Ages 6 - adult) Strong
Emphasis on technique will cover barre and floor work.
Pointe
(Director Recommendation
Only)
A technique of performing all ballet
movements on toe. Students must take at least 2 hours of classical
ballet per week.
Tap
(Ages 7 - adult) This
class will consist of rhythm training and transition of the feet with
proper tap technique while also concentrating on upper body poise.
Jazz
(Ages 7 - adult)
Concentrating on ballet technique this class will include various leaps,
jumps, turns and isolations of the body using Broadway and contemporary
styles.
Pee Wee Jazz
(Ages 5 - 6) This class
will consist of body isolations and a stretch warm-up and will focus on
rhythm, timing and coordination, teaching basic jazz technique.
Hip Hop / Boys Hip Hop
(Ages 5 - adult) A very
contemporary style of jazz technique consisting of all the latest funky
moves. Also a great form of exercise!
Lyrical / Contemporary
(Director Recommendation
only) Focusing on ballet and jazz techniques this class will consist
of interpretation and expression of music. Must have strong ballet &
jazz technique.
Ballet / Tap Combo I
(Ages 5 - 6) Combination class consisting of one half hour of ballet
and one half hour of tap.
Ballet / Tap Combo II
(Ages 6 - 7)
An advanced combination
class consisting of 30 minutes of ballet and 30 minutes of tap.
Prerequisite: Ballet/Tap Combo I.
Pre-School Program
(Ages 3 - 4) This 50 minute
class will include floor exercise warm-up with an introduction to
ballet. This class will also include tumbling for motor skills and
coordination with emphasis on rhythmic awareness.
Musical Theatre
(Ages 7 - Adult) A one
hour acting/rehearsal workshop focusing on improvisation, audition
techniques, monologues and scene study. This class will also consist of
vocal and dance training.
Cheer Dance
Focusing on strong upper body
isolations & proper cheer technique. This class will also emphasize hip
hop & jazz styles, with some basic tumbling & cheer jumps and lifts.
Stretch
& Tone
This class will focus on
strengthening and stretching all the muscles of the body while
conditioning the body as well with abdominal exercise for center
strength and control. Troupe required / great for adults.
